“Lumen” comes from Latin, meaning light, not a harsh brightness but a soft, inner glow. It feels like light passing gently through layered fabric, a quiet radiance beneath the surface, something warm, subtle, and alive. I create each piece slowly, working with hand-dyed fabric one by one. Every cut and every color turns out slightly different, so no two works are ever the same.
I keep the fabric raw and honest, letting its texture show, then layer and overlap each piece until it feels right. It’s a very intuitive process, almost like building a quiet rhythm where everything comes together naturally. The final work holds that sense of softness, depth, and calm that I’m always drawn to.
